TENUTE TOCCI<\/strong> is a brand that was born in 2015, an offshoot of a family business, run by my father Antonio, heir to a generation that has had its roots in the wine sector for at least 150 years.<\/p>

TENUTE TOCCI <\/strong>is a company born with a precise precise mission:<\/em>: to continue to cultivate our typical grapes and transform them into the precious nectar, without abjuring or compromising.<\/p>

When my wife Giusy Albano<\/strong>and I began to make wine in our home cellar, it was more for fun than for a specific project. But the wine distilled from the grapes pushed us into another dimension, that of our roots, of the stories of our grandparents who spoke of palmenti, of presses, of barrels, of vats…; what enthusiasm!<\/p>

So here comes 2015, an exceptional year, and in that year we produced our first 1000 bottles of Primitivo di Manduria DOP.<\/p>

\u201cCARUS\u201d was born for fun and a benevolent challenge, a designation to recall our hometown with a long winemaking tradition, Carosino (Carus-inus = precious valley), located on the eastern side of the province of Taranto, cradle of wines with an unforgettable taste, obtained from long-lived vineyards, with an average age of sixty years.<\/p>

TENUTE TOCCI <\/strong>intends to spread the flavors and virtues of the land of upper Salento, just like other labels recognized on the market that well exalt the virtues of our territory.<\/p>

Today the company consists of a vineyard area of \u200b\u200b10 hectares, with the use of different breeding techniques, from the traditional \u201cPugliese sapling\u201d, to modern espaliers, carrying out pruning with the guyot, symonit & sirch method.<\/p>

The company, being family-run, sees the different members cover specific tasks. In this case, grandfather Antonio directs, assisted by Urbano and Luciano: as a team they conduct the operations in the vineyard; personally with my wife Giusy Albano <\/strong>I take care of the transformation of the product and its marketing.<\/p>
